Day 11-To Amboise

Villandry Gardens

Accomodatuion not great in Amboise. We had a sdalkda and a pie at home for our dinner.

A walk along the Loire.

Day 12 -Amboise

Chateau Amboise

Picnic lunch by the Loire

Chateau de Clois Luce [Leonardo’s house] and gardens

Drinky then dinner at Ambacia near the Chateau.

Short walk to see the castle lit up- then waaaa!

Hospital

Day 13 To Poitiers via Loche

Change of plan- no Futuroscope [still waiting for our refund!]

Loche- parking was a challenge.

A lovely mooch [Royal Lodgings and old town] and lunch.

Our home in Poitiers was lovely. Bus into town- lovely churches St Radegarde, Cathedral St Pierre.

Great dinner at Villa Gabetta.

Day 14 To Angouleme

Poitiers– Palais de Justice- oops wrong one!

Then to Angouleme.

Poor internet casued probs getting into our accomodation, but when in, it was nice.

Wander through the old town. Al fresco dinner at L’Atelier.

Day 15 Angouleme

Lunch at Latitiude Pub

Eglis St Martial, The Cathedral St Pierre and more art

Back for as nap

Back mooching- wall art and dinner at Quatier Geneve, dinner at La Cour,

Day 16- To Bordeaux via Brantome and St Emilion.

Brantome-Free parking by the river.

Pretty town on an island. Market day. Picnic bybthe bbridge near the abbey.

Abbey closed at lunchtime but we still had a good look around.

Then a drive past lots oif vibneyards to St Emilion.

Paid parking by the church, the town was busy but lovely.
