You can swim from the rocks or via steps into the sea from various places in the village including the harbour arm but the main sandy beach is outside of the village in the south. If you have transport you will find some attractive and more secluded coves between Pantazi and the village of Trachila.

Pantazi Beach
The ‘beaches’ between Ag Nik and Pantazi are not very inviting as they are too rocky. Pantazi Beach is about 1km to the south with ample parking and a taverna on site. The beach is pleasant and sandy in places. There are a couple of quieter coves just beyond which are really lovely.

Gnospi
This is my favritist place to swim in Ag Nik. It’s hidden off the main path from Stoupa as it enters the village. Turn down an unmarked path by the ugly empty shell of a building and you will find a short set of steps leading to a lovely secluded swimming platform where you will also find a tiny church built into the rock. There are lovely views across the bay of Stoupa in the distance.

The local youths tend to congregate here but it’s great fun to watch them throw themselves into the sea off the rocks.
